Ban on Sachet Alcohol: House Of Reps Resolve To Launch Probe

Nigeria’s House of Representatives has resolved to launch a probe into the ban on sachet alcohol drinks by the National Agency For Food And Drug Administration And Control (NAFDAC).

In9ja.com, gathered that the House, following a motion moved by Paschal Agbodike (APGA, Anambra) on Wednesday, resolved to probe the rationale behind the ban.

Recall that NAFDAC’s Director-General, Mojisola Adeyeye, recently announced the commencement of the enforcement of the ban on the importation, manufacturing, distribution, sale and use of alcoholic beverages in sachets, as well as pet and glass bottles of 200ml and below.
