Extortion: IGP Warns Officers Against Using his Name

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has criticised any form of extortion by police officers.

The IGP issued the warning to all officers against using or dropping his name for such activities.

The Police boss while expressing concern, emphasized that such actions tarnish the reputation of his person and the Police Force, thereby eroding public trust.

This was contained in a statement issued by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, on Wednesday.
