Rerun: Akwa Ibom Police Command Deploys 2,000 Officers, Orders Restriction of Movements

Akwa Ibom Police Command says it has deployed about 2,000 officers for two rerun legislative elections holding in three local government areas of the state on Saturday that is today.

Apart from the deployment of officers, the state police command has hinted that it has also ordered restriction of movements in the three local government areas: Ini, Ikono and Ibiono Ibom – where the exercise will take place.

This is contained in a press release issued on Friday by the police spokesperson in the state, Odiko Macdon.
